Course Overview

Human Resource Development aligns organisational business needs with employees competencies, knowledge, and skills, effectively closing the gap between them. HR demonstrates strategic value by identifying and creating learning opportunities that increase employee capability and organisational knowledge. This module outlines a comprehensive, step-by-step approach to analysing, designing, developing, implementing, evaluating an effective Learning & Development strategic plan which are also aligned with both Career and Leadership Development.

Course Objectives

At the end of the programme, learners will be able to:

  • Explain the relationship between organisational culture, strategic vision, and Human Resource Development.
  • Describe the scope and trends in Human Resource Development.
  • Assess the Human Resource Development needs in an organisation.
  • Describe how a career development strategy links to organisational needs.
  • Describe the role of leadership development in an organisation.

Pre-requisites

The admission requirements are:

  • Read, write, and speak English at WPL Level 5
  • At least 2 years of working experience in Executive roles.
  • Learners who do not meet the minimum Literacy level or years of relevant work experience set out above can still be considered for this course. Do speak with our Skills Consultants regarding this.
  • Hardware & Software
    • This course can be conducted as a Physical or Virtual Live Class (VLC) via Zoom platform.
    • Participants must own a Zoom account and have a laptop or a desktop with “Zoom Client for Meetings” installed. Download from zoom.us/download.

  • Operating system: Windows 10 or MacOS (64 bit or above)
  • Processor/CPU: 1.8 GHz, 2-core Intel Core i3 or higher

  • Webcam (camera must be turned on for the duration of the class)

  • Latest version of Zoom software to be installed on computer or laptop prior to the class.

    Wired internet will provide you with stable and reliable connection.
  • Dual monitors
    Using a dual monitor setup will undoubtedly improve your training experience, enabling you to simultaneously participate in hands-on exercises and maintain engagement with your instructor.

Not Recommended:
Using tablets is not recommended due to their smaller screen size, which could cause eye strain and discomfort over the course of the program's duration.

  • NTUC LearningHub reserves the right to claw back the funded amount from trainee if he/she did not meet the eligibility criteria
