Course Overview

This course equips learners with the knowledge and skills to align workforce planning (WP) with organizational strategy while adhering to legal and ethical guidelines. Participants will explore national manpower initiatives, identify organizational capability requirements, and create compelling business cases to secure stakeholder buy-in. Through hands-on training, learners will develop data-gathering processes, apply statistical analysis tools to evaluate workforce supply, demand, and productivity gaps, and design actionable WP solutions. The course also emphasizes cost considerations, implementation strategies, and continuous improvement by integrating best practices and market trends to optimize workforce plans.

Course Objectives

At the end of the programme, learners will be able to:

  • Analyse the organisational environment, including future business challenges and their likely impact on the organisations workforce.
  • Integrate workforce planning into the strategic plan of the organisation.
  • Describe the key steps to developing a strategic workforce plan, including analysis, forecasting, strategy development, and cost modelling.
  • Create or refine a framework for your organisations workforce planning strategy.

Pre-requisites

The admission requirements are:

  • Read, write, and speak English at WPL Level 5
  • At least 2 years of working experience in Executive roles.
  • Learners who do not meet the minimum Literacy level or years of relevant work experience set out above can still be considered for this course. Do speak with our Skills Consultants regarding this.
  • Hardware & Software
    • This course can be conducted as a Physical or Virtual Live Class (VLC) via Zoom platform.
    • Participants must own a Zoom account and have a laptop or a desktop with “Zoom Client for Meetings” installed. Download from zoom.us/download.

    Using a dual monitor setup will undoubtedly improve your training experience, enabling you to simultaneously participate in hands-on exercises and maintain engagement with your instructor.
