How Does The Security Sector PWM Security Salary Work?

The  security sector’s Progressive Wage Model (PWM) is a structured five-level career progression model designed to ensure that officers receive their PWM security salaries  corresponding with their skills and productivity. This model includes specific job roles and training requirements at each level, providing a clear pathway for career advancement.

* Effective 1 Jan 2024, new SOs will need to pass the following enhanced module, and Incident Response and Threat Observation before being deployed.

* In-service SOs will be required to complete the following module by 31 Dec 2025

# Pre-requisite: You will need to own a Smartphone with an internet connection and QR code scanner  function (this shall be used during the POLWEL assessment) 

The Progressive Wage Model for Security outlines a clear career advancement pathway, requiring completion of the following specific licensing units and experience milestones.

Security Officer (SO) Entry Level 

Complete Mandatory Basic Licensing Units- see below:

* Effective 1 Jan 2024, new SOs will need to pass the following enhanced module, and Incident Response and Threat Observation before being deployed.

* In-service SOs will be required to complete the following module by 31 Dec 2025

Senior Security Officer (SSO)

  More than 6 months of experience as a Security Officer
+ 2 Mandatory Certificate Modules  – see below:

* Existing SSOs will need to pass the additional module by 31 Dec 2025
* Effective 1 Jan 2024, NEW SSOs will need to pass the following

 
Security Supervisor (SS)
 
More than 1 year of experience as a Senior Security Officer
+ 1 Mandatory Advanced Licensing Unit
